Phone Question : Using Pause

Phone Question : Using Pause
Has anyone tried to use "Pause" while registering a phone number ?
I frequently dial into a conference call. My cell phone is able to dial the phone number and passcode as a single speed dial. On the cell phone, the number is set up as "888-nnn-nnnn<pause><pause>xxxxxx#" where the last part is the passcode.
When I set up the number in the TCH in the same way, it never dials the passcode automatically. I have tried with different number of <pause>s without any luck.
I know I could use "Speed Tone" for the passcode, but that would take pressing more buttons to call

Re: Phone Question : Using Pause
I have had the same issue with mine, and I transferred numbers directly from the phone. It shows the pauses in the number, but when I assigned it to a speeddial position and I try dialing it, it only dials the number, and my voicemail system just waits for input.
I am stumped. There are two different ones available when you enter the numbers manually into the phonebook - "pause" and "wait". Neither of them seem to work.

Re: Phone Question : Using Pause
I think there is a mistake in the manual and in the programming for this feature. I couldn't get it to work either.
...but if you look at the manual, I believe it's on page 115 it shows how to enter the Speed Tone PHONE NUMBER, but in order to get the Speed Tone to work, you only put in the string of numbers you want it to dial.
In the manual it shows a screen shot that allows you to put in the Pause and Wait for the Speed Tone, but you can't do it.
I stopped playing with it and use the Speed Tones for password and passcodes, after I make the initial call.
Maybe this weekend I'll try again with the Pause and Wait...if only to see what they actually do.

Re: Phone Question : Using Pause
I just purchase the 2009 TCH yesterday and have been trying to get speed dial to enter an extension number after a pause and wasted a good part of the afternoon.
Has anyone got this figured out yet? If not can someone tell me how to initiate Speed Tone to dial after I speed dial the number?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Phone Question : Using Pause
You can't.
Best to program numbers that require a pause into your phone's handset speed dial and use the one touch speed dial from your handset to initiate the call. Since it's paired with the BlueTooth it will be broadcast from within your car.

Re: Phone Question : Using Pause
Haroldo, thanks for your reply. I was able to figure out how to initiate the speed tone number after the call connects. I have to push 3 buttons instead of just one, but I like it better than fooling around with my cell phone.
