Default Traction Battery Level

I just bought a 2009 TCH in August and it now has 1200 miles on it. I have not been able to completely charge the traction battery, even after more than 2 hours of highway driving. The highest charge I have see is one bar below fully charged. Has anyone else experienced this? Otherwise it is great and I am happy with the C4C deal

Your statement indicates that you don't understand how the battery is supposed to work. It is very unusual to show a complete charge. The only time I see it is when coming down a mountain or steep hill. Optimum battery life occurs if it is never fully charged. Even when it shows full charge on the ECO it isn't. If I recall it something like 80% charged. There are other threads which discuss this in more detail.

I understand how the system works, I just have never seen it fully charged under any driving condition for the last month

And you probably won't, at least not in S Florida. I don't think there very many roads with long downhill grades there.

We have two TCHs, with three driving-years experience with them. The batteries are never fully charged. Per other posters, I recommend you check out the other threads in this forum. Fully charging the battery would reduce its life.

It's a simple graphical representation, a 21st century equivalent of the 'idiot lights', it's not an EKG nor a seismograph.
The car is continually using power and can't possibly (or logically) be at 100%.
Just pay attention to the road and enjoy the ride.
The car will take care of everything.
If the car stops or wont run, call AAA.
