From what people are saying around here, maybe we should add the Smart-Key option too. That said, is MSRP a fair price or could we reasonably negotiate a lower price?
SmartKey is a very nice feature. And very distinctive and very useful. However, you will no longer be buying a no options vehicle and options cannot be purchased ala carte. In your case, look at the lowest package that offers SmartKey and that is what you will get with the car.

Even now, I doubt you will be able to get less than MSRP; not unless you find a rural dealer who has a number of them on the lot and wants to sell them or a very flexible dealer. Check out Intellichoice. I think they are the best of the car advice sites becaue they evaluate cars based upon Total Cost of Ownership, not resale value. But I point you three because they show the invoice values for the cars and the packages and that gives you a starting point if you want to negoitiate.

Smart key is one of those features that, once you have it feels like you just couldn't live without... but really, I don't think it's a "must have" type of feature. It's very handy, and really cool, but the base model comes with the remote and for someone coming from a car with wind-up windows and key-open doors that's probably plenty good. Our Prius I just has the normal remote key fob and you still have to put the key in and turn it to start the car, but I (driving my '91 Colt 100, manual everything) find it quite luxurious.
