My build date is 11/08. I traded in the 2007 FEH for this one in 2/2009.

Silly me, my build date was 7/08 not 7/09.

I tried coasting in N over 40mph a little more last night and noticed that it did go closed loop with SoC below 47. I'm not sure there is an exact point where this happens, but this about the same point where I start to have to use the break tap gliding in D to get into fuel-cut.

I'll try coasting in D and let SoC fall to see if it goes closed loop at some specific SoC. I used to coast in N a lot on downhills until I saw how much it dropped SoC.

Tonight was coasting downhill in D around 55mph. SoC was 48 when I started, open loop, instant mpg on SGII 9999. When it drops to 47.6, it goes closed loop and there is a slight increase in RPM on the tach. I was able to repeat this a couple of times.

rick:

I learn the same thing tonight. i can also confirm that 47.6 is the magic SOC number for where it goes closed loop on my late 09 FEH in a neutral glide above 40 mph.
