Re: New Hybrid, low MPG??
Well I'm only 100 miles into my brand new car (2005 Civic Hybrid CVT) and the ave MPG is reading 32.2.
I'm used to 12 in my Durango so I'm happy but looking forward to "learning" how to drive this darn thing.

Re: New Hybrid, low MPG??
Welcome Jeremy - hang in there - if you care enough about getting better MPG, you WILL be able to. That's the beauty of these cars.
Step 1 is to get your tires inflated over the 32 PSI or whatever the 2005 is recommended at by Honda. Read up on it, but overinflation is one quick and dirty trick that will immediately reward your MPG.
There are literally dozens upon dozens of tips on this site - search and you shall find them.
Good Luck, and congrats and thanks for joining the Hybrid family !!!

Re: New Hybrid, low MPG??
Hi J.
I've got about 2K on my '05 and, just as the folks here say....my MPG is creeping up. With every tank of gas, It gets a little better. Like you, I was a disapointed with my early MPG. Out of the box, I was 32. Now I'm at 36 and climbing...I assume.
