Weird Friction Feel on 2006 HCH
Hello HCH Drivers,
I noticed a Friction feel when I drove my 2006 HCH on a slow moving traffic at about 30-40MPH and occasional stopping this morning, I never drove my car this slow after I bought this one 2 months ago, I also noticed that I can see the Regenerative lights glowing but if the car goes beyond 35MPH then the Friction feel would vanish!!!! and the car would run smoothly. Did anyone notice this one? Is this something that I need to see my service centre for a check up? Or is this because the IMA is charging the batteries? Any input?

hi
I would like to suggest next time when your coasting in that speed range put car in neutral and see if the dragging sensation goes away. If it does most likely your feeling the drag from the regeneration you should be seeing green bars. Ive found that for coasting you want to keep the gas pedal in a position where there are no green bars showing unless you know your going to have to stop. Also I found its easy to put the car in S instead of D. I have used the S when the engine has not warmed up completely and I have to stop. It will force it to go into regen.
