42 miles door-to-door with about 3 miles total surface-streets, and the rest highway.

I am doing two different commutes right now, depending on where I am required to be.

Route 1, the one I have done for years, is 56 miles total, 35 miles interstate, 15 miles country roads, 6 miles city.
Route 2 is 65 miles, 22 miles country roads, 40 miles interstate, 3 city.

12 miles...all city. But when I pick up #1 son from swim practice two to three times a week, I add another 25 miles of which about 8 are highway.

Now, my wife is another story. She does Home Health Care four times a week. Typically, 80-100 miles each day, probably 90% City. Come January, guess who will be driving the HCH the most...

40 mile daily commute, one way. aboutt 200 yards from our driveway to the first 2 miles on dirt road, the next 37 are rural 4 lane, then less than a mile to the office from the exit ramp. first 8 miles has some hills and curves, the rest is pretty much straight and mostly flat, though there are some minor downgrades here and there. there are two small towns with a stop light in each, it's about half and half whether i get caught at the lights. speed limit on the 4 lane is 65, which is used and abused by most drivers, and unless there is a major accident, there is never any backups. friday nights, however, can be a scary experience during hunting season or the fishing opener with everyone in the left lane bumper to bumper at about 80, trying to get there first.

19 miles total (each day).... but I drive a mini cooper s. which translates to a fill up every 3 weeks. I could strech it out to 4 weeks but it's an S... and what would be the point of that.

Commute to primary job site: ~63 miles. Mostly 2-lane rural or semirural highway, ~10 miles city, ~15 miles 4-lane rural highway. Fortunately I usually work the graveyard shift, so traffic is light. It takes just one slowpoke or school bus on a 2-lane road to hold you up for miles at a time.

Commute to secondary job site: ~50 miles. 30 on the turnpike, 15 on 4-lane rural highway, the rest city.
