AUX port question?

AUX port question?
I have seen that a couple people have had the AUX filter replaced and I have had two issues with it and wondered if that was the solution.
1. Audio only coming from Right side of car.
2. Cracks and whistles heard while playing.
I just use it for my ipod / sirius dash receiver but its bugging me.
Thanks.

Re: AUX port question?
I had problems with "static" noises, and occasional dropping of sound from one channel. Replacing the cable didn't help. Wiggling the cable would temporarily solve the problem for a short time - sometimes under a minute. I use a TSonic MP3 player.
After the TSB, no static at all, and no more sound dropouts. Sound quality is unaffected.

Re: AUX port question?
You can test to see if you are getting the grounding interference by disconnecting the power plug from the 12v aux power (cig lighter) within the compartment. The interference should stop.
With my iPod, if I have it connected to the power and am listening to music, I will hear the interference. I plan on having the filter installed at my next 5k service.

Re: AUX port question?
I believe these numbers are correct:
For Canada, it's TSB2810
For U.S., I think it's TSB AU004-07
Title: NOISE FROM AUXILIARY PORT
The attached TSB was uploaded by one of our northern TCH owners. I believe it is the Canadian TSB. (I haven't seen the US version.)
