Question: Anyone Else Experience This?

Question: Anyone Else Experience This?
I get a sulfer / burning smell (slight) when accellerating, I think when using the assist. It's hard to correlate, but while I am under warranty, best to get the thing fixed.
Any ideas? Works fine, just smells a little sometimes--like someone lit a match!!

Not often. Only when accellerating hard (up a long hilly stretch of freeway, etc). It's intermittent and I think it's linked to prolonged use of the battery, but I can't be 100%..

I get that 'burning' ozone-ish smell once in awhile too. I never can correllate it with any particular driving situation. It goes away, and nothing seems amiss. 96,000 miles, and no problems ('04).

Re: Question: Anyone Else Experience This?
I noticed it a few times a while back, haven't noticed it for a while. I had another LONG trip this past weekend, tons of battery usage and high speed/load driving (had to make a 1700 mile round trip in two days). I wouldn't worry too much but it also never hurts to take it in to have it looked at for free. My local dealer doesn't give a loaner, just a shuttle service, so I haven't yet, considering finding a out of town Honda dealer or checking with an Acura dealer ... Toyota also said they were capable of working with the Honda Hybrids warranty, but you know what they say about dealerships ...

I've gotten this, too! The first time I smelled it was when first starting up on a cold day, and it was such a strong smell that I immediately stopped it. It didn't come back when I started the car again a few minutes later. But yeah—the smell comes back slightly when I'm accelerating heavily. I'd love to know what this is!
