Default HCH2 trunk lid liner

Has anyone installed a trunk lid liner in thier 2006 or newer. Is it worth doing. I believe it will look cleaner, but does it help with road noise? H

It was included with the 2007 and newer models, but not the 2006 Bob. I've ordered a liner for my trunk lid. If anything it will look better when the truck is open. I am hoping it will cut down on the road noise as well. H

Hi Harold.

My 2006 did not have one either. I did install it though soon after I got the 2007. All it takes is 2 properly sized holes to be drilled in each trunk hinge arm so that the left and right garnish can attach securely.

Cheers;

Hi msantos

Did you notice Any change in road noise? I installed mine today and it seems to have helped quiet things a bit . Sure cleaned up the trunk.

Cheers;

Hi Harold;

I admit I did not notice any significant reduction in noise - perhaps I was not hearing hard enough. But I agree with the "clean up" aspect of it as it helps make it "tidier" looking.

Cheers;

Can someone post a pic of this? I've never heard of a liner for the trunk LID, only the trunk floor. Since I'm a neat freak, I may want one...
