Winter Car Mats?

Re: Winter Car Mats?
Toyota has issued a safety recall on their winter mats as they have led to six fatalities because they get lodged into the accelerator pedal. The NHTSA issued a safety bulletin as well. DO NOT PLACE ON TOP OF STOCK MATS. You need to take the old mat out (drivers side) and secure the new winter mat with the retainer hooks.
Thanks for all of the info. I just ordered some Weathertech mats. I'm sure I will be pleased with them.

They also include some very big notices in lots of bold colored print that shout out, in effect: "DO NOT INSTALL THESE MATS OVER THE STOCK (CARPET) MATS. THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE ALL WEATHER MAT SHOULD BE INSTALLED USING THE RETAINING HOOKS ON THE DRIVER SIDE FLOOR WELL."
Didn't see much difference in the other three.

Re: Winter Car Mats?
Has anyone ordered the Weathertech "FLOORLINER" (not the all weather) mats in Tan for their Bisque interior for the TCH? I am curious how well the colour match is and if you are satisfied with the fit.
Thanks
Thanks
