I don't think its poor taste either.
The rat died in the car, he had to dismantle it to get the poor dead thing out and
this is a tribute to the poor creature who went the wrong way and met a sad fate.
Hope the car gets back together easily!

A few people have mentioned reassembly. I have to say this is by far the easiest car I've pulled apart from the inside out.
All the mess you see really just went back together like a set of Lego's. Common screws, tabs and slots that made sense, really.... bravo once again to Toyota for really thinking things through. Honestly, if I didn't stop to scrub and decontaminate every piece as it went back, I could have put the car back together in about 15 minutes.
No kidding.

The point about high frequencies is interesting, i wonder if there's any hard data on what frequency ranges are actually being emitted? I thought high frequency sound repelled rodents due to the proliferation of "ultrasonic" vermin repellent devices, although that's a pretty vague label.
Apparently the HSD system makes sweet music, above our human threshold of hearing.

12mm socket attached to a cordless impact gun. I ended up pulling the air bags too.

THANK YOU for creating a new thread on this. I personally have no problem at all with separate threads for deviations on a topic. It helps a LOT to keep the individual threads on topic.
As for poor taste - the title was quiet helpful. I'm also not offended by it, and I find it quite interesting to see the actual rat, as well as where it was.
I do think that some people need to lighten up. This isn't exactly a "booming' board. I host "ProbeTalk.com" with more than 15,000 ACTIVE posters.. THAT is an active board where too many threads is a problem. Not so much here.
