I agree that the x-radials are older in design.
unfortunately all they had at the time was those in stock.
I just had the rear control arms changed and could not wait any longer to get new tires, because I was going deaf from the OEM tires due to the negative camber problem. (still managed to get 45k out of them though).
One other problem is I used to put 40psi in the tires but I could only get Costco to put 35psi. Since it is nitrogen filled I'm trying to keep it like that, thus I have not gone to the local gas station to fill it up.

As far as nitrogen filling.... some believe, some are skeptical, others rely on test data rather than marketing anecdotes. Check out the following from Consumer Reports:

I use a 78/22 nitrogen/oxygen blend in my tires which seems to work great! I have a special tank of the blend that I keep in the garage just for keeping the tires topped off. I highly recommend it.

No I throw in 0.9 percent Argon, and 0.03 carbon dioxide for flavor, and and trace amounts of hydrogen, ozone, methane, carbon monoxide, helium, neon, krypton, and xenon as garnish.

Is it one of those special tanks that has a motor and a compressor on it to ensure your NO2 blend maintains the optimum pressure?

Hey, I have one of those, too. Mine is special since it adds a little water vapor to the mix just for fun.

Good for moisturizing the rubber to keep it fresh.

I've got that mix too but it seems the CO2 is increasing ever so slightly each year!
