Default DVD's on the NAV

Salesman once told me that it is possible to watch movies on the DVD/NAV system, but not while the car is in motion. Is this true?

Nope. I tried it. If you put a DVD movie into the map DVD slot, the system complains that it is not a map DVD.

I have read rumors that there is a hack that can installed to allow movies, but nobody has put their money where their mouth is quite yet.

IBIWISI*!

Happy hunting, but I don't see why a company would go to the trouble of developing an entire user interface and paying for CODECs, only to not implement any of it. It is, of course, possible, but it doesn't seem likely.
